Baran Institute of Technology • Electric Technician Electrical/Electronics Equipment Installation and Repair, General The Electrical Technology Program is a 78 quarter-credit-hour program. This is a comprehensive program that prepares a student to enter the Electrical Field. During each section of instruction, the students receive the necessary classroom and lab instruction pertaining to the subject that is being taught. After the students have obtained necessary math skills and basic theory, they will design, wire and install various electrical applications in appropriate settings. Graduates of this program are qualified as entry-level Electrician Apprentices that may work in residential, commercial or industrial settings under the guidance of a licensed electrician.
Lincoln Technical Institute - Shelton • Electrician The skills you learn at an electrician school will be in demand by both business and residential clients and your hands-on electrician training by instructors with industry experience will prepare you to sit for state licensing exams, including the L-6 License—Low Voltage Journeyman (50 Volts); the E-2 License—Electrical Journeyman (up to 600 volts); and the E-1 License—Electrical Contractor (after two years of E-2). After graduation you can work as part of a dynamic team in construction or maintenance or start your own business as an independent contractor.

RETS Technical Center • Electrician The objective of the Electrician program is to prepare students with the knowledge, technical skills and work habits required for an entry-level position as an electrician. This program provides instruction in the basic fundamentals of electricity and its practical applications; instructs students in direct current and alternating current circuitry; residential, commercial and industrial wiring, along with specialized areas, such as motors and motor control circuits, transformer installations and services requirements; and provides instruction of the National Electrical Code and its application to safe electrical installations. The length of the Electrician program is 900 clock hours over a period of 36 weeks for day students and 900 clock hours over a period of 57 weeks for night students. All students must complete the program with a minimum of 48 semester credit hours. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be awarded a Diploma.

Vatterott College - Broadview Heights • Electrical Mechanics Diploma Program This program is designed to prepare the graduate with the theory and working knowledge to work on an entry-level position in residential, commercial or industrial electrical installation and repair. The program consists of 60 weeks, 66 Quarter Credit Hours of Electrical Mechanic theory and associated lab work and 6 Quarter Credit Hours of General Education totaling 72 Quarter Credit Hours.
• Electrical Technology Associate of Applied Science This program is designed to prepare the graduate with the theory and working knowledge to work on an entry-level position in residential, commercial or industrial electrical installation and repair.
Electrical Principles/Team Dynamics
CHI Institute - Broomall • Electrician The Electrician program provides an understanding of the basic fundamentals of electricity and its practical applications, instructs the student in direct current and alternating current circuitry, teaches residential, commercial, and industrial wiring, as well as specialized areas such as motors and motor control circuits, transformer installations, and service requirements, and gives the student an understanding of the National Electrical Code and how it applies to safe electrical installations. Students may use their skills in entry-level positions as electricians in new construction, additions, or restoration sites, or may secure commercial or industrial maintenance positions. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be awarded a Diploma.
Career Centers of Texas - El Paso • Electrician Diploma program Students are instructed in the fundamentals of electricity and its practical applications, including the basic wiring and electrical layout schemes used in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Students will also gain proficiency in electrical system service and maintenance, and receive specialized training in motors, electrical controls, and transformer installation. Graduates are awarded a diploma upon successful completion of the program.
